I am Arnab Chakravarty and my name means the 'Ocean'. Having lived and worked across three continents, I currently call London home. As a designer + creative technologist, I love making what I design. More recently, I was a research resident at ITP, NYU where I finished my Master’s in 2020 with joint appointments as an Accessibility Researcher at NYU’s Ability Lab and as an Artist-in-residence at the Studio for Creative Inquiry, Carnegie Mellon University.

I thrive in scrappy, demo-driven environments of researchers, designers, and engineers as a hybrid designer/prototyper. I have worked in generalist design/ dev/ product roles with small teams and in specialist design roles with large organizations. I can work on both the practical and theoretical ends of technology; from the conceptualization and design of a new service/product to delivering working prototypes and publishing peer-reviewed academic papers.
